UBER SHOWCATS POP UP CAT ADOPTION EXPERIENCE

CLient: Uber
Agency:
CNC Agency
Location:
New York City, Nashville, & Los Angeles

The brief:
Uber partnered with Best Friends Animal Society to create Uber Showcats—a pop-up pet adoption event across NYC, LA, and Nashville designed to help shelter cats find their forever homes. The activation needed to blend adoption outreach with engaging experiential touchpoints and Swift-inspired branding to drive foot traffic and adoption outcomes.

My role: As a producer, I helped manage the multi-city execution across three markets, coordinating between Uber's brand team, Best Friends Animal Society shelter operations, and local vendors. I oversaw kitten showcasing and adoption logistics, custom charm jewelry station setup, and Swift-inspired merch distribution including signature chai cookies, and ensured compliance with animal welfare standards and local permitting requirements at each location. On event day, I was one of two producers in New York supporting the team throughout the entire event from load in to final strike.

The result: Uber Showcats successfully combined celebrity fan engagement with meaningful social impact, creating a joyful adoption experience that attracted enthusiastic crowds across all three cities. The activation not only increased shelter cat visibility and adoptions but also reinforced Uber's community-focused brand positioning, proving that experiential marketing can drive both cultural buzz and real-world good—one forever home at a time.
